How do I know what size I have, and what size to order?
Converted sizing and dimensions:
Pleaser shoes come from America and have American sizing (1 inch = 2.54 cm). Pleaser lists both the US sizes (American shoe sizes) and the EU sizes (European shoe sizes) on the shoe boxes.
*The Western European sizing that we use in the Netherlands, Belgium and other EU countries.
However, experience shows that their converted EU sizes are not always correct. The larger shoe sizes in particular tend to be a bigger size than stated on the shoe box. For this reason I use my own converted EU size chart (see Sizing page) and not the EU sizes stated on the boxes.
From US size 12, the sizing for most styles is slightly adjusted:
US-12 -> EU size 42/43;
US-13 -> EU size 44;
US-14 -> EU size 45 and so on.
Important:Order the size you normally wear, I already take into account whether certain models are smaller or larger. If you have already done that, please let me know (under 'any comments' in your shopping cart), so that the ordered item is not purchased two sizes too big or too small. |
How do I calculate the right size for me?
To determine the correct size, it is best to measure your feet in the evening. After a whole day of walking and standing, your feet are at their largest at that time of day.
When determining the size, you should also take into account whether you have bare feet or are going to wear tights, stockings or socks in the shoes. My advice is to go for something a little wider than to order the shoes too small. If the shoes are a little wider, you can always compensate for this difference by putting an insole or gel/foam cushion in the shoes.

Step 2: |
Step 3: |
Place one bare foot on a sheet of A4 paper
|
Draw the outline of your foot with a pencil. |
Using a ruler, measure the distance (in centimeters) from the outside of your heel to the top of your big toe. |
Then look at the conversion table to see which size is linked to your foot length.
On the product page, you can also find product specifications that are related to the chosen size. The length of the inner-sole of the shoes is also indicated there. Please note: the length of the sole is not your foot length!!
To determine the correct length of the inner-sole for your foot length:
- For shoes without a heel and shoes with a heel (walking) height of 13 cm (6"), you must add ± 1 to 1.5 cm to your foot length
- For shoes with a heel (walking) height of 13 cm (6") and more, and for shoes with a very pointed toe, you should add ± 3 - 5 cm to your foot length
If you are between sizes, I usually advise you to round up the size for a closed style (such as a pump or boot with a closed toe). For an open model (such as a sandal, where the toes and/or heel are 'open') my advice is to round down because you have more space and leeway here.
Of course you can always ask me for advice about which size you need:

What if I want to order a specific US size?
If you would like to order a specific US size because you know which Pleaser US size you have, this is of course possible: in that case, choose the size option that contains the US size you want to receive.
I always buy the US size indicated in the size options as in the next example:

As you can see in the image above that from US size 12 the sizing has been adjusted somewhat. For example, a US-12 is a European size 42/43; a US-13 is a European size 44; a US-14 is a European size 45 and so on. On the shoe box, US-13 size 43 is indicated, but this conversion is not correct.
I kindly ask you not to order the same item in different sizes and then return the sizes that do not fit.

Boot dimensions:
The calf circumference, shaft circumference and shaft height of boots can be found in the table on a product page.
In the specification table on a product page you can find a lot of information about the shoes. The dimensions indicated in the upper part of the table depend on the selected size, so make sure you have selected the correct size to see the correct data.
The table will look something like this; in the upper part you can find the calf circumference, shaft circumference and shaft height in centimeters:

Have you already taken into account how the size fits and ordered a different size than you normally wear?Please let me know if you have already taken into account a smaller or larger fit for the shoes so that the ordered item won't be purchased two sizes too large or too small. You can notify me in the 'Special instructions' section in your shopping cart: |
