About Pleaser Clearance/Sale items

When a style is in Clearance/Sale at Pleaser, Pleaser has decided to no longer produce the items and only sell the last available sizes they have in stock; usually with a discount (but this is not always the case...)

Unfortunately, I can no longer guarantee optimal quality or availability for clearance/sale models (and unfortunately I no longer have a guarantee with Pleaser) if I still have to purchase them.

Clearance/Sale items have a warranty period of 2 months.

Various categories of Sale-products can be found in the webshop:

1) Clearance/Sale items that I do not have in my own stock and that I still have to import from Pleaser
2) Clearance/Sale items from my own stock; unused items that are discounted because they are out of the current collection/will be cleared from the current collection
3) Items sold at a discount due to depreciation or overstock
4) Other discounted items

1) Clearance/Sale items I still have to import from Pleaser

Unfortunately, I can no longer guarantee optimal quality or availability for clearance/sale styles if I still have to purchase them (and unfortunately, Pleaser no longer offers warranty for clearance/sale items)

I can never guarantee that Clearance/Sale items are still available when you order them because this ultimately depends on the stock at Pleaser.
SOLD OUT = FINAL!

So please keep in mind that there is also a chance that I, unfortunately, have to disappoint you if an item turns out to be sold out. I can of course always help you search for another (comparable) item (this may result in a price difference that will have to be settled)

If I cannot help you find another item, you can of course get a refund!

(And no: I won't give an extra discount because an item appears to be sold out, sorry!)

Items that are in clearance/sale that have yet to be purchased can be recognised by these characteristics on the product page:

  • Unlike models that I do have in stock (see below), these items do not always have a specific size stated in the product title
  • The stock indication states "Available at the supplier" (or "leverbaar bij de leverancier" in Dutch)
  • The expected delivery time in this case is also 1 - 1½ weeks because they still have to be imported
  • The product is (usually) discounted
  • In the product photo you can see a "Clearance/Sale" label/badge

NB:
Items that still have to be purchased also have the usual 1 - 1½ weeks delivery time because they have to be imported, just like normal items

 2) Clearance/Sale from my own stock:

Because I cannot guarantee quality or availability when I still have to purchase items that are in Clearance/Sale at Pleaser, you can choose to search for sale items that I have in stock myself, and I have therefore been able to physically check the quality before sending it to you.

Clearance/Sale items from our own stock can be recognized by the following features:

    • A "Clearance/Sale" label/badge can be seen in the product photo
  • If there is one variant of an item in my own stock, a size is indicated in the title of the item, in the example above: [Size 39 | US-9]
  • If there are still several variants of an item for sale but there is a variant in stock, you can see this in the description, and when you click on the desired size you will see in the stock indication "in stock in the showroom" (or "op voorraad in de showroom" in Dutch) as in the example below:

If the desired size is not available in the webshop or if you cannot select/order it, then unfortunately it is no longer for sale and no longer available.

All Clearance/Sale models can be found in the Sale-collection.

 3) Items sold at a discount due to depreciation or overstock:

Overstock:

If I have too much stock of an item or just feel like discounting an item because I don't want to leave it in my stock for too long (because that's a waste!), I can decide to sell it at a nice discount. These will be items that are normally not sold at a discount; the discount will only apply to the variant/size that is indicated as 'in stock'. Other sizes of the same item that I don't have in stock will also not be discounted.

Depreciation:

The Sale collection sometimes also contains items that are sold at a discount due to depreciation*. These can also be items that are still produced by Pleaser, and are therefore not normally sold at a discount, but are sold at a discount for various reasons (which you can find below)

Of course, I only sell items that, despite the depreciation:

- are safe
- work (i.e. function well, can be used as intended)
- are as expected (always read the explanation in the description and, if applicable, view the photos with the explanation to see what you can expect)
- are still covered by the clearance/sale guarantee (if there are exceptions to the guarantee, these will also be clearly communicated)

*Depreciation can be:
- slight damage(s) to the packaging
- slight damage(s) to the item itself
- missing parts or packaging material
(for example, matching laces, interchangeable parts or the shoe box)
- returned items that can no longer be sold 'as new' because they show signs of use or have clearly visible damage
- returned items that were damaged, but that I had repaired (professionally)
- items that are no longer in 'new condition' because they have been in the box for a while

I will always clearly state when items are discounted due to depreciation, explain the reason for the depreciation in the description and if applicable place clear photos of any damage or photos of missing parts -> which will therefore not be present in the photo... ;)

 4) Other discounted items:

Very rarely I also sell items that no longer function 'as intended', but may still be used for other purposes. I do this because I think it would be a shame if 'usable' materials were thrown away and because I want to offer you the opportunity to perhaps give the product a nice second life. In most cases the price will be so low and only serve to cover the costs**. I often donate these types of items to, for example, art or fashion schools or to local upcycle workshops/activities, but sometimes I also put them for sale on the webshop.

Items that can be classified under this category are, for example:
Showroom models (items I had displayed in my showroom for example) that can be used decoratively but are no longer safe to use as 'shoes'; (showroom) models of which, for whatever crazy reason, I may only have one shoe left, or for example broken shoes that can be used as decoration (part) or of which the material can be used. This will again be clearly stated, and the price will of course be so low that you can expect that they are not usable shoes.

**Shipping costs will be charged if you cannot pick them up yourself in the showroom.

Please note: for this last category; "Other Items", there is no right to return!

Please refer to the Terms of Service and Refund policy.

Information about what Clearance/Sale from Pleaser entails:

When an item is in Clearance/Sale at Pleaser, Pleaser has decided to no longer produce it and only sell the last available sizes they have in stock; usually with a discount (but this is not always the case.)

Unfortunately, I can no longer guarantee optimal quality or availability for clearance/sale items if I still have to purchase them (and unfortunately, Pleaser no longer offers warranty) The fact that we cannot offer you this guarantee is partly due to the following:

When an item is in Clearance/Sale, I unfortunately cannot guarantee that they are still available because I have to deal with a time difference with the supplier, and because I place an order once a week. The current stock indication from Pleaser may therefore no longer be completely 'up to date' when I place the order, or another importer may have just bought up an entire Sale stock in one go.

Also, items that are in Clearance/Sale have in some cases already been in the collection for a number of years; despite the fact that Pleaser has items produced more often, it can still happen that a certain item has been in the supplier's warehouse for a long time. Now that does not always cause a problem right away; but because most (non-animal) materials do deteriorate in quality over time, the chance is greater that they will not be able to withstand the sudden change in climate. Especially due to the humidity in the Netherlands, it unfortunately sometimes happens that the material is no longer as it should be or looks strange upon arrival, and sometimes the items are damaged or start to show signs of perishability.

General information

I import most items especially for you from the USA, Poland or Slovenia. The average delivery time is 1 to 1½ weeks (within the Netherlands) but this can also be longer. This is an average delivery time, therefore it's not a promise or guarantee! Please keep that in mind!

Please note:

  • For returning (not exchanging) items that I imported for you from the USA, there will be €25,- import/postage/duty costs deducted from your refund amount per item*.
  • I will convert €15,- from that €25,- into a shop credit. You will receive your shop credit by email and it can be redeemed on the webshop with your next order
    • your credit is valid for 12 months from the date of issue
    • your credit cannot be exchanged for (cash) money
    • If your return does not meet the return & refund conditions and I therefore apply a deducted refund in addition to the import/postage/duty costs, your right to this shop credit will lapse.

*When returning multiple items that have been purchased for you, I always calculate the costs incurred per individual situation. The amount that is deducted and what is converted into shop credit therefore depends on the actual costs that have been incurred and concerns a reasonable compensation for the losses suffered

**The charges only cover the costs incurred in purchasing and importing the items from America; no standard cancellation fees or restocking fees that cannot be substantiated or explained will be charged.
The charges are a reasonable compensation for the losses suffered/loss of profit

More about the reasonable compensation can be found in this Dutch text here en here

This applies to:
1) cancellation of the order before it is delivered to you, but has already been purchased/imported by me
2) returning (part of) the order you have already received.

I would prefer not to have to charge these costs, but in order to cover the costs (losses) I have incurred due to the increasing number of returns, this has unfortunately proven necessary. To limit the number of returns (please think about the environment too) I would like to ask you to think just a little longer about your purchase, to make a well-considered decision and, if you are unsure, to ask me for advice or help!

For a single exchange for a different size, these costs will not be charged. You can read more about this in the Terms and Conditions and Refund Policy.

Sizing and Dimensions

See how you can calculate your size using a conversion table on our information page: "How do I know which size I have and which one I should order?"

To view a conversion table and see which sizes & dimensions we use, you can use the size chart, which you can find in the following two ways:

On every page (both on your mobile and on a computer) you can find a button for a size chart on the right side, which looks like this:Maattabel knop pagina

On all product pages you can find the button for the table above the "Add to cart" button, which looks like this:

Maattabel productpagina

Our shoes and boots come from the USA and have American sizes (1 inch = 2.54 cm).
These dimensions have been converted to the Western European size that we use in the Netherlands, Belgium and other EU countries. Our converted EU dimensions differ from those of our American supplier stated on the box. Experience shows that shoe sizes US-12 and up in particular are larger.

Order the size you normally wear, we already take into account how a model fits (large, small or according to size). Sometimes we explicitly inform you about this in the description.

If you are between sizes, we usually recommend rounding up the size for a closed model, such as a pump or boot. With an open model, such as a sandal or peep toes (where the toes and heel are 'open') we recommend to choose the smaller size.

If you want to order a specific US size, please select the desired US size indicated in the sizes. We always order the corresponding US size stated; the corresponding EU size determined by us may therefore differ from the EU size stated on the box.

Of course you can always ask us for advice about which size you need: info@kinky-shoes.nl

If you would like to know the shaft circumference, shaft height and calf circumference of boots, you can calculate these for your size (for an explanation of how to do this; view our information page about calculating the circumference). Use the following data sheet for this:
