Clearance/Sale:

This style is discontinued. SOLD OUT = SOLD OUT

When a model goes into Clearance/Sale at Pleaser, Pleaser has decided to no longer produce the items and only sell the last available sizes they have in stock; usually with a discount (but this is not always the case...)

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee quality or availability (and are unfortunately no longer entitled to a warranty from Pleaser) if we still have to purchase items that are in Clearance/Sale at Pleaser. That is why we try (despite the often attractive discount) to minimise the Clearance/Sale items from Pleaser that still have to be purchased and to sell items that have gone into Clearance/Sale that we have in our own stock. (of course also with a discount!)

We have various categories of Sale-products in our webshop:

1) Clearance/Sale items that we do not have in our own stock and that we still have to purchase from Pleaser
2) Clearance/Sale items from our own stock; so unused items that are sold at a discount because they are/are going out of the collection
3) Items sold at a discount due to depreciation or overstock
4) Other discounted items

1) Clearance/Sale items we still have to purchase from Pleaser

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee quality or availability (and are unfortunately no longer entitled to a warranty from Pleaser) if we still have to purchase items that are in Clearance/Sale at Pleaser. That is why we try (despite the often attractive discount) to minimise the Pleaser Clearance/Sale items that still have to be purchased.

However, we will still sell some items that are in clearance/sale; but we can never guarantee that they are still available if you order them from us because this depends on the stock at Pleaser. SOLD OUT = SOLD OUT!

So keep in mind that there is also a chance that we will unfortunately have to disappoint you if an item turns out to be sold out. We can of course always help you search for another (comparable) item; but this may result in a price difference that will have to be settled.

If we cannot help you find a replacement item, you can of course get your money back!

(And no: we do not give an extra discount because a model appears to be sold out, sorry!)

Models that are in clearance/sale that we have yet to purchase can be recognised by the following characteristics:

  • Unlike models that we do have in our stock (see below), these items do not have a size stated in the title.
  • The stock indication states "Available at the supplier" (or "leverbaar bij de leverancier")
  • The expected delivery time in this case is also 1 - 1½ weeks
  • The product is (usually) discounted
  • In the product photo there is a "Clearance/Sale" label in the top left corner

NB:
Items that we still have to purchase also have the usual 1 - 1½ weeks delivery time..

2) Clearance/Sale from our own stock

Because we cannot guarantee quality or availability if we still have to purchase items that are in Clearance/Sale from Pleaser, we mainly try to sell models that have gone into Clearance/Sale that we have in our own stock and therefore can physically assess quality of.

Clearance/Sale items can be recognised by the following characteristics:

clearance/sale indicatie

  • The title states the size of the item, for example in this case:
    [Maat 37 | US-7]
  • In the product photo at the bottom left you can see a "Clearance/Sale" label
  • The product is (usually) discounted

If the desired size is not available in our webshop or cannot be ordered, it is unfortunately no longer for sale and no longer available.

You can find all Clearance/Sale items in our Sale-collection.

3) Items sold at a discount due to depreciation or overstock:

Overstock:

If we have (too) much stock of a certain item in a certain size, we may decide to sell it at a discount. These will therefore be items that are not normally sold at a discount; and the discount only applies to the sizes indicated. Other sizes of the same item that we do not have in stock will therefore not be sold at a discount.

Depreciation:

Our Sale collection also contains items that we sell at a discount due to depreciation*. These may be items that are still produced by Pleaser, and are therefore not normally sold at a discount, but are sold at a discount by us for various reasons (which you can find below).

Of course we only sell items that, despite depreciation, are:

- safe
- functioning well (as intended)
- as expected (always read the explanation in the description and, if applicable, view the additional photos)
- still covered by the general warranty (if there are exceptions to the warranty, these will also be clearly communicated)

*Depreciation can be:
- slight damage(s) to the packaging or the item itself
- the absence of parts or packaging materials (e.g. associated laces, interchangeable parts or the shoe box)
- returned items that can no longer be sold 'as new' because they contain signs of wear or are clearly damaged
- items that are no longer in 'new condition' because they have been in the box for a while

We will always clearly state on discounted items when they have been discounted due to depreciation, also explaining the reason for the depreciation in the description and, if applicable, posting clear photos of any damage or photos of missing parts; which will therefore not be present in the photo... ;)

4) Other discounted items:

Occasionally, we will sell items that no longer function 'properly', but may still be used for other purposes. We do this because we think it is a shame if 'usable' materials are thrown away and because we want to offer you the opportunity to perhaps give the product a nice second life. In most cases the price will be very low and will only serve to cover expenses**. We often donate these types of articles to for example: art or fashion schools, but sometimes we also place them on the site.

Items that could belong to this category include: Showroom models that can be used decoratively but are no longer safe to use as shoes; (showroom) models of which, for whatever reason, we may only have one shoe left (and we have that more often than we would like to...) or for example broken shoes that can be used as decoration and broken shoes whose material can be used. This will, again, be clearly stated in the description and the price will of course be very low.

**Shipping charges may apply if you cannot collect it from our showroom yourself. Please note: for this last category of items ("Other Items") your right of return expires. See our terms and conditions and refund policy for more information.

Information about what Clearance/Sale from Pleaser

When an item goes into Clearance/Sale at Pleaser, Pleaser has decided to no longer produce it and only sell the last available sizes they have in stock; usually with a discount (but this is not always the case.)

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee quality or availability when items are in Clearance/Sale. That is why we remove most Clearance/Sale items from sale. The fact that we cannot offer you this guarantee is partly due to the following:
When a model is in Clearance/Sale, we cannot guarantee that it is still available because we have a time difference with the supplier. Pleaser's current stock indication may therefore no longer be completely 'accurate', or another importer may have just purchased an entire Sale stock.
In some cases, items that go into Clearance/Sale have already been in the collection for a number of years; Even though Pleaser has items produced more often, it can still happen that a particular item has been in the supplier's warehouse for a long time. Now this does not always cause a problem; but because most (non-animal) materials do decline in quality over time, there is a higher chance that they will not be able to withstand the sudden climate change. Unfortunately, especially due to the humidity in the Netherlands, it sometimes happens that the material no longer appears to be in good condition upon arrival, and is sometimes even damaged or starting to show signs of depreciation.
We want to keep the risk of this happening as low as possible because we believe quality is most important and because we want to keep you from possible disappointment.

What is the heel height and platform height

📏 The heel height and platform height 📏

Here you will find a short explanation of the heel height and platform height ! Do you want to read the explanation of all shoe specifications? Then take a look at the following page:

Heel height and platform height:

For many people, these two factors are decisive in choosing their perfect pair of heels. Especially in the world of pole dancing, exotic dance and pole fitness, heel heights are often indicated in inches instead of centimeters.
To make it easy for you, I always give both sizes - in inches and in cm. That way you don't have to convert them yourself! 😉

How they are measured:

Heel height (abbreviated "HH")

Platform height (abbreviated "PF")

For Pleaser heels, the heel height is measured from the point where the heel touches the ground, in a straight line up to the point where the heel touches the sole. You can see this in the image below:

 heel height_1

The platform height is measured from the bottom of the outer sole; where it touches the ground, to the top of the platform; the height at which your foot rests. This is shown in the image below:

What is the 'walking height'

📏 The walking height 📏

Here you will find a short explanation of the walking height! Do you want to read the explanation of all shoe specifications? Then take a look at the following page:

All specifications explained

💡 Tip: Click on the images to enlarge them!

Walking height:

The walking height is the 'real' heel height you walk on. We calculate this with the next 'formula':

Heel height - Platform height = Walking height

  • For heels without a platform, the heel height is the same as the walking height because nothing is subtracted from the heel height
  • For heels with a platform, the 'real' heel height you walk on is less than the total heel height because your foot rests on a platform. That means the sole of the shoe has literally been raised and your foot is standing higher. You can therefore subtract the platform height from the heel height to calculate the walking height.

The following image shows an example:

What is the heel distance

📏 The heel distance 📏

Here you will find a short explanation of the heel distance! Do you want to read the explanation of all shoe specifications? Then take a look at the following page:

All specifications explained

💡 Tip: Click on the images to enlarge them!

Heel distance

The heel distance is the space between the heel and the outsole and determines how steep the slope of the insole is
  • A steeper heel has a shorter heel distance
(and a sharper slope angle* = a lower angle in degrees*)
  • The shorter the heel distance, the steeper the heels feel.
*Want to know more about this? Read the explanation about the angle of inclination for more information about this

Heel distance

The shorter the heel distance, the higher the heels of the shoes feel/the steeper the shoes will be.

How this is measured

Measuring the heel distance is best done when comparing two different shoes of the same size and with the same walking or heel height.

You don't even have to measure the distance exactly if you can clearly see whether the distance of one shoe is shorter than the other*

💡Important:

  • The shorter the heel distance, the higher/steeper the heels feel

*Where exactly you should measure this distance is sometimes difficult to say. In this more extensive explanation about the heel distance you can find more explanation about how and where you can measure this. But usually you do not need all this information to buy heels.

The next image shows an example of how heel distance affects the 'steepness' of a shoe. The triangle represents the 'space between' the heel and the outsole/slope as seen in the heel on the left.

    • Beide hakken zijn 10 cm hoog
    Hak afstand

Below is an example of two shoes without a platform, both with a heel height of 12.7 cm, where the exact distance is not measured in actual units, but where the heel distance of both shoes is compared in the coloured arrows at the top of the image:

    distance of heels example

The right shoe will feel steeper than the left shoe, despite both heels being 12,7 cm (5") high, because the space between the heel and the outsole is shorter.
You can also see that the sole of the right shoe slopes down steeper than the sole of the left shoe (a steeper slope = steeper heels)

     Don't compare apples with oranges:
There is no point in comparing the heel distance of size 36 shoes with size 40 shoes; or comparing the heel distance of shoes with a platform to a shoe without a platform.
    Why?
shoes in size 40 always have a longer heel distance than the same shoe in size 36 because size 40 is simply longer than size 36. The heel will therefore also have to be at a longer distance from the outsole than with size 36 in order to maintain the same 'steepness'.
The same applies to shoes with a platform and shoes without a platform. If you compare shoes with the same heel height and heel distance, one of which has a platform and the other does not have a platform, you will stand less steeply on the shoe with a platform sole because the heel distance should actually be measured at the 'walking height' (see the information about Walking height)

    Summary:
If the heel distance is smaller (shorter), the slope is steeper and the slope angle is sharper (the degree of the angle is 'lower')

The heel of shoes with a shorter heel distance will therefore also feel higher

    General information

I import most items especially for you from the USA, Poland or Slovenia. The average delivery time is 1 to 1½ weeks (within the Netherlands) but this can also be longer. This is an average delivery time, therefore it's not a promise or guarantee! Please keep that in mind!

    Please note:

    • For returning (not exchanging) items that I imported for you from the USA, there will be €25,- import/postage/duty costs deducted from your refund amount per item*.
    • I will convert €15,- from that €25,- into a shop credit. You will receive your shop credit by email and it can be redeemed on the webshop with your next order
      • your credit is valid for 12 months from the date of issue
      • your credit cannot be exchanged for (cash) money
      • If your return does not meet the return & refund conditions and I therefore apply a deducted refund in addition to the import/postage/duty costs, your right to this shop credit will lapse.

*When returning multiple items that have been purchased for you, I always calculate the costs incurred per individual situation. The amount that is deducted and what is converted into shop credit therefore depends on the actual costs that have been incurred and concerns a reasonable compensation for the losses suffered

**The charges only cover the costs incurred in purchasing and importing the items from America; no standard cancellation fees or restocking fees that cannot be substantiated or explained will be charged.
The charges are a reasonable compensation for the losses suffered/loss of profit

More about the reasonable compensation can be found in this Dutch text here en here

    This applies to:
    1) cancellation of the order before it is delivered to you, but has already been purchased/imported by me
    2) returning (part of) the order you have already received.

I would prefer not to have to charge these costs, but in order to cover the costs (losses) I have incurred due to the increasing number of returns, this has unfortunately proven necessary. To limit the number of returns (please think about the environment too) I would like to ask you to think just a little longer about your purchase, to make a well-considered decision and, if you are unsure, to ask me for advice or help!

For a single exchange for a different size, these costs will not be charged. You can read more about this in the Terms and Conditions and Refund Policy.

    Sizing and Dimensions

See how you can calculate your size using a conversion table on our information page: "How do I know which size I have and which one I should order?"

To view a conversion table and see which sizes & dimensions we use, you can use the size chart, which you can find in the following two ways:

On every page (both on your mobile and on a computer) you can find a button for a size chart on the right side, which looks like this:Maattabel knop pagina

On all product pages you can find the button for the table above the "Add to cart" button, which looks like this:

    Maattabel productpagina

Our shoes and boots come from the USA and have American sizes (1 inch = 2.54 cm).
These dimensions have been converted to the Western European size that we use in the Netherlands, Belgium and other EU countries. Our converted EU dimensions differ from those of our American supplier stated on the box. Experience shows that shoe sizes US-12 and up in particular are larger.

Order the size you normally wear, we already take into account how a model fits (large, small or according to size). Sometimes we explicitly inform you about this in the description.

If you are between sizes, we usually recommend rounding up the size for a closed model, such as a pump or boot. With an open model, such as a sandal or peep toes (where the toes and heel are 'open') we recommend to choose the smaller size.

If you want to order a specific US size, please select the desired US size indicated in the sizes. We always order the corresponding US size stated; the corresponding EU size determined by us may therefore differ from the EU size stated on the box.

Of course you can always ask us for advice about which size you need: info@kinky-shoes.nl

If you would like to know the shaft circumference, shaft height and calf circumference of boots, you can calculate these for your size (for an explanation of how to do this; view our information page about calculating the circumference). Use the following data sheet for this:
